In case you need some reading material, Friday, June 1 is Blogging for LGBT Families Day.
I don't have a LBGT family in the way it seems that most of the contributing posts talk about. I mean, Sparky and I don't even live together and there's not a kid, or even a pet, in my corner of the universe. Sometimes, I don't even know if my plants are going to make it.
I do know, though, for the first time ever, I'm bringing someone to a family dinner next weekend. I won't be the weird seventh wheel, everything's out in the open, and Grandma wants to meet Sparky soon. (Grandma also wants to meet her new granddaughter-in-law, Bro, so we need to get on that trip to Jersey soon.)
Basically, I haven't started my own "LBGT family" yet, but man am I glad/proud/thrilled that when I do, my family (no adjective needed, just my family) will supportive/ happy/ accepting/ welcoming. How great is that?

So if I have a family, and some/any/one of THEM are GLBT, can I blog about that?
I dig what you mean, Wenders. My sis and her girlfriend (yeah, her name is Gaye, I know that always gets giggles) are just family, full stop. Gaye's father died last month and I wrote a card to her mom telling her that I felt her loss because she is family. Unfortunately, her response to Gaye was, "Who is Lissy F. . . ?" Giggle. But I know what you mean!
