Dear Readers -
A remarkable event is underway on the soon-to-be snow covered landscape northwest of Boston. I am enjoying the company of wonderful new friends, found within the pages of The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, by Mary Anne Shaffer and Annie Barrows.
I have taken these friends with me from Rhode Island to New Hampshire, through snow and sun. I look forward to our next meeting and know I will not hasten to leave them once my commute is finished. Why, just last evening I sat in my car in order to hear the latest development with Kit's through to completion!
Already, I dread the day when we must part. I find myself swayed to write more letters, and worse, to hear myself speak in my own mind with a horrid British accent. I have drafted several work related emails that are long winded and use too many adjectives. Worse, they are apparently not clear in their intent. Alas!
Perhaps, once the day comes that I must part from dear Juliette, I will spend more time perusing Smith Magazine's Six Word Memoirs.
Sincerely,
W

I adore that book. Every time I suggested to friends they found the title so odd that they took a pass, and what a loss to them. There wasn't a single word written within the covers that I wanted to miss.
If you and Holly BOTH like it... I'll have to give it a try. There was (this is SO embarrasing to admit) just something off-putting about the COVER.
Ta-ta for now, luv.
