- A LOT of Olympic watching. A lot. Like we're toggling between TV channels to watch hockey/curling/downhill recaps at the same time. And maybe some local curling club research ... as Sparky said yesterday "that girl doesn't look like someone you'd see and say 'hey, there's an Olympian'" (referring to the USA Team's skip) and my response was... "She is my hope!"
- A pesky 24 hour stomach bug! Bad news is that Sparky and I both came down with it yesterday, good news is that we were away for a few days in Maine, meaning we were in a house with more than one bathroom, a washer/dryer, a big screen TV AND a couch. Thank Goodness.
- Adventures in bread-making. I made WHO Bread from SouleMama.com (the accoustic version) and banana bread. Both are winners. Even if neither me nor Sparky actually want to eat them right now. I think I may actually like baking, you know, once we have a kitchen that has a ceiling and oh, a sink.
- Knitting Olympics! Slight delay due to above mentioned sickness, but so far so good. I really am going to try to get SOME pictures of the chuppah in progress, but right now it just looks like a mess of lightblue laceweight.
- Some time away from work. Sparky has this week off, Monday was a holiday, so I took off yesterday and today. Granted, most of it was spent sick, but the mindset that comes from knowing I don't have to be in the office for Five Days was awesome. I found I wanted to cook more, read more, knit more and think more...and blog more!
So, Happy Olympics, here's hoping you do NOT meet the 24 Hour Bug and that good things are happening where you are, too!
